Berkshire Wedding Fairs

Berkshire Wedding Fairs co-owners are Jackie and Joanne, who met when both were expecting their 2nd and 1st child respectively and discovered amongst other mutual interests a passion for organisation, planning and commitment, these qualities enabled Berkshire Wedding Fairs to be born.

Now in their twelfth year, Berkshire Wedding Fairs organise the most prestigious wedding fairs in Berkshire, Hampshire and Buckinghamshire, supplying the best wedding venues in the area with top quality wedding exhibitors.

The combination of both Jackie and Joanne’s skills, alongside their motivation and determination to succeed, will guarantee that when you exhibit with them or visit one of their fairs you will notice the attention to detail, personal but professional approach and relaxing atmosphere.

Joanne said of their plans for this year ‘January sees the start of not only a New Year but a new season of wedding fairs, and 2018 looks set to be our busiest season yet.  We’ve added a few new venues to our portfolio, and will be back at many venues that we have been hosting fairs at for pretty much all of our 12 years in business.  We also started hosting Networking Events in 2017 for our suppliers and these have been a great success.  We’re looking at putting on more this year as feedback from suppliers was so positive.  We only intended to do one as a ‘Thank you’ when we reached our 10th year anniversary to give suppliers and us a chance to get together and Network outside of the wedding fair environment, we had a guest speakers and everyone found it so useful and enjoyable that we were asked to do another....and it looks there is demand again for another.’

Wedding fairs are split into two seasons; Spring, which form the early part of the year, and Autumn, which take place in September and October.  Most venues don’t have fairs over the Summer months.  This is generally because traditionally most people used to get married at this time of year and therefore the venues were fully booked and suppliers were busy at these weddings.  However, in more recent times weddings are no longer traditionally in the Summer months only, or indeed on a Saturday, but the tradition of keeping the Summer months free of wedding fairs seems to of remained.

Their Spring season of fairs looks like this, with the addition of a new venue; The Olde Bell in Hurley.

Bisham Abbey

Trunkwell House Hotel

The Olde Bell

Lillibrooke Manor

Cantley House Hotel

Taplow House Hotel

Royal Berkshire Conference Centre at Madejski Stadium

De Vere Wokefield Estate

Bisham Abbey

The 3 biggest fairs are Trunkwell House Hotel, Madejski Stadium (both with Fashion Shows) and De Vere Wokefield Estate all with up to 50 wedding suppliers!!

The Autumn season looks likely to be just as busy with an additional new venue of Hillfields Farm Estate.  These dates will be added to their website soon.

So what have they planned for the next 12 years?  Jackie said ‘We’d love to put on a really large scale event, something  similar to the big 3 day event they have at London Olympia.  It’s all about finding the right location.  Wedding fairs work because you get the chance to meet face to face the people who you are entrusting your special day with. The internet is great for doing research, but people still buy from people, you just can't build up that rapport and relationship via a computer screen.’

All their fairs are Free Admission, so if you are planning your wedding and need ideas, help and advice, why don’t you pop on down.
