Q: Do you have knowledge of Masonic Ladies festival?

A: I have been a Toastmaster at numerous Ladies Festival over many years so understand the protocol for these events. I have also been Master of my Mother Lodge, Cookham Manor No 4191 on three occasions and also Marcellians Lodge No4450 once. I have been a mason since 1988 and am the Past Provincial Treasurer of Berkshire. At Provincial Grand Lodge in September 2017 I will be promoted to acting Provincial Senior Grand Warden. You can see therefore that I am well versed with participating and officiating at such events

Q: Are you a Professional Toastmaster, and if so, to what organization do you belong?
A:
I am a Graduate of the UK School of Professional Toastmasters, a Founder Member of The Association of the UK School of Professional Toastmasters, a Member and my governing body is the Toastmasters General Council.

Q: Do you have insurance?
A:
I have full public Liability Insurance to the value of £5,000,000. A certificate of this is readily available

Q: Do you have references or testimonials I can see?
A:
I am very lucky to have many references and testimonials, though under data protection laws, I must seek permission from past clients before releasing their contact details to potential clients. With their permission, I will gladly pass this information on.

Q: The hotel say they offer Toastmaster services, why do I need you?
A:
Check with the hotel that it’s a real bonafide toastmaster and ask what Guild or Association he or she belongs to. It may be that the hotel is only providing the duty or banqueting manager to announce. Generally they are not professionally trained and will have little knowledge of Masonic protocol

Q: How long in advance should we book a Toastmaster?
A:
I get booked up well in advance so my advice would be that once your date and venue have been booked, it would be an ideal time to book your Toastmaster.

Q: How far would you travel?
A:
I will travel across the UK if your budget permits, however I usually travel within 100 miles radius of High Wycombe for my normal fee.

Q Do we supply you with a meal, and where would you sit during the meal?
A:
A meal is neither expected nor insisted upon, but if you choose to it is gratefully received. It would be taken at a single table right next to the Top Table so that I can still observe proceedings and be on hand if you need me.

Q: Can you help with fund raising activities

A: I will be please to help selling raffle tickets and announcing winners etc. If you have other fund raising such a ‘heads and tails’, Auctions or other ideas

Q Do you stay just for the dinner or will you stay until the end of the evening?

A: I am happy to stay until the end and organising the closing of the evening if required. It depends on what you need. I will of course charge a small additional fee if asked to stay until late into the evening

Q: What does your fee include?

A: My fee includes an initial consultation, unlimited telephone contact and all travel and attendance on the night. If required to stay overnight then accommodation will also need to be covered

Q: How much is your fee?

A: Every event is different so my fees reflect this. I will be pleased to discuss your requirements and agree a set price so that this can be built into your budget. I appreciate that often Ladies Festivals are used for charitable fund raising so try to keep my fees as low as possible.
